Project created for John and Peggy Sanders, Oriental Institute
I created the Temple of Poseidon for Peggy Sanders and the Oriental Institute. She was interested in reconstructing the temple at different points in history. Peggy supplied me with images, research data, and many books. I used this information to reconstruct the temple using 3D Studio Max and Photoshop. After completing the 3D model Peggy came up with the idea of adding terrain using World Construction Set (WCS). This was an after-the-fact idea, and I quickly learned that the model was not built to play nicely with WCS. Peggy recruited the help of Scott Cherba, an expert with WCS. After some tweaking, AutoCAD work, and exporting, I was able to get Scott a model that he could use. Scott edited the model further using Lightwave before placing it in WSC. The end result of our work is below.
