Our speaker is Tunç Şen (NELC) who will present his dissertation chapter entitled “Chronicling the Past, Mirroring the Present, Divining the Future: Taqwims (Almanac-prognostications) in the early modern Ottoman context.” The discussant is Carlos Grenier (History).
The paper will be circulated on Sunday, October 11th via our listserv. If possible, please try to read the paper in advance for informed discussion.
