Our speaker is Rao Mohsin Ali Noor (NELC) and he will be discussing his paper: “Of Sonic Pieties and Attendant Anxieties: Religiosity, Aesthetics, and the Political in the Muslim Call to Prayer in Modern Egypt, Turkey, and Pakistan.” His discussant will be Kara Peruccio.
