Wednesday, October 4: Workshop with Dr. Orit Bashkin (University of Chicago) on her new book Impossible Exodus: Iraqi Jews in Israel.
Wednesday, October 18: Workshop with Rao Mohsin Ali Noor (NELC): “Of Sonic Pieties and Attendant Anxieties: Religiosity, Aesthetics, and the Political in the Muslim Call to Prayer in Modern Egypt, Turkey, and Pakistan.”
Wednesday, November 1: Workshop with Yaqub Hilal (Anthropology): “Rethinking the Middle East.”
Wednesday, November 15: Workshop with Mariam Sheibani (NELC): (Title to be determined and announced in a future email.)
Wednesday, November 29: Workshop with Rachel Schine (NELC): “Locating Blackness in Arabic Literature: Early Sources.”
