Interviewing
Interviews are conversations where questions are asked by hiring managers and answers are given by prospective hires. Typically, they are one-on-one conversations aimed at drawing out organizational and positional fit. Interviews can occur by phone, in-person, or virtually by utilizing Skype, Teams, Zoom or another web-based platform. Additionally, there are variations to the traditional one-on-one format that include group or panel interviews. There are also different approaches used to evaluate key competencies. These approaches include a variety of interview questions (structured, semi-structured, behavior-based, puzzle, case) formal assessments (technical, personality, fit) and other skills evaluations (writing samples, formal presentations, strategic plans).
