Foregut Program
The foregut programs at the University of Chicago and Northshore University provide state of the art clinical trials and leadership in national societies. They provide multidisciplinary exposure to esophageal and gastric cancer including: novel clinical trials, minimally invasive surgery, prophylactic surgery, immunotherapy and multidisciplinary tumor boards. The foregut progrma has significant expertise in prophylactic gastrectomies for CDH1 mutation patients along with a hereditary cancer program. Minimally invasive esophagectomies and gastrectomies, robotic and laparoscopic/thoracoscopic, are routinely performed at both sites.
