Leah Whittington is Professor of English and Comparative Literature, and Affiliate Faculty in Classics at Harvard University. She specializes in Renaissance literature and culture, with a focus on the survival, transmission, and reception of antiquity. She is the author of two books: Renaissance Suppliants: Poetry, Antiquity, Reconciliation (Oxford UP, 2016), and Antiquity Made Whole: Supplements, Continuations, and the Recreation of the Classical Past in Renaissance Literary Culture (Johns Hopkins UP, forthcoming in 2026). She is the recipient of fellowships from the American Council of Learned Societies, the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study and the Loeb Classical Library Foundation, among others. In 2027, she will join Shane Butler as co-General Editor of the I Tatti Renaissance Library.
