Please join the Transnational Approaches to Modern Europe Workshop next Wednesday, February 23rd from 4:30-6:00 pm CST for our fourth session of Winter Quarter 2022. We are excited to have Ben Van Zee, PhD candidate in the History Department, who will be presenting his paper, “The Polish Peasants and ‘The White Man’s Burden’: The Scramble for Africa, The Polish Struggle for Independence, and the ‘Standard of Civilization’ in International Law, 1795- 1885. Sarath Pillai, PhD Candidate in the History Department, will serve as the respondent.
