Dear Colleagues,
I hope you are doing well and looking forward to the eventual arrival of Spring. I am happy to announce our next session on next Wednesday, April 25. Fabian Baumann, PhD Candidate at Univeristät Basel will present his paper, “The Ukrainophile Household: Private Life and Politics in Late Imperial Kieve.” Commentary will be provided by Bożena Shallcross, Professor and Director of Graduate Studies, Department of Slavic Languages and Literature, University of Chicago. This workshop is co-sponsored by the Interdisciplinary Approaches to Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia (REECA) Workshop. The workshop will take place from 5:00 to 6:30 PM in the John Hope Franklin Room (SS 224). There will be a short reception afterwards.
