Arthur Clement @ TAMEW on October 11

Dear colleagues,

Please join us this upcoming Wednesday, October 11, for the year’s first meeting of the Transnational Approaches to Modern Europe Workshop! The workshop will take place from 4:00 to 5:30 PM in the John Hope Franklin Room (Social Sciences Research Building, Room 224).

We are looking forward to welcoming Arthur Clement (PhD candidate, History), who will be sharing the dissertation chapter “Conserving a Religious Inheritance for Laïque Society through the Sciences of Religion in Third Republic France, 1885–1902.” Tahel Goldsmith will respond.

This week’s paper and an accompanying letter are now available on our TAMEW Canvas page, and on our website under the heading “Current Paper.” Feel free to get in touch with us at rceb@uchicago.edu and tgoldsmith@uchicago.edu with any questions.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Rebecca Epstein-Boley and Tahel Goldsmith
