The Center for Spatial Data Science
The Center for Spatial Data Science (CSDS) develops state-of-the-art methods for geospatial analysis; implements them through open source software tools; applies them to policy-relevant research in the social sciences; and disseminates them through education and support to a growing worldwide community of over 330,000 spatial analysts. CSDS is an initiative of the Division of Social Sciences and part of the UChicago’s investment in computational social science.

Chicago Studies
Chicago Studies offers curricular and co-curricular opportunities to discover, study, engage with and positively impact the diverse communities of our world-class city. Working with campus- and city-wide partners, Chicago Studies support sthe College community in encountering and learning with Chicagoans from all walks of life. In so doing, we facilitate the development of reciprocal, respectful collaborations between campus and city that empower students in the College to deeper critical inquiry and more impactful responses to complex and systemic issues in Chicago and in cities around the world

The Chicago Center on Democracy
The Chicago Center on Democracy (CCD) works to strengthen democracy through research, discussion, and community-building. The CCD is a hub for students, faculty members, nonprofits, and others who are interested in working to support democracy through rigorous, nonpartisan research and other activities.

Chicago Project on Security and Threats
The nonpartisan Chicago Project on Security and Threats (CPOST) is a focal point for scholarly research that advances peace and prosperity. CPOST conducts rigorous, data-driven research, strengthens world-class education for future professionals and communicates knowledge among policy makers, scholars and the public.
College Center for Research and Fellowships
The College Center for Research and Fellowships (CCRF) supports undergraduate students in the College as they pursue academic excellence through scholarly undergraduate research and nationally competitive fellowships.
