Program Manager

María collaborates with SISRM faculty, students, and staff to organize and develop SISRM’s courses and workshops, and works closely with Paul to develop all aspects of the RA program. Prior to joining the Summer Institute, she graduated from the University of Chicago’s  Master of Arts Program in the Social Sciences (MAPSS) (AM’22) with a concentration in History. She completed her undergraduate work at Bryn Mawr College where she majored in International Studies and History. In her free time, María enjoys traveling, playing and watching soccer, listening to music, and cooking.

Program Coordinator

Olivia connects faculty and students to support SISRM’s mentorship program, completes program logistics for the summer workshops, and communicates with students via social media and email. Prior to joining SISRM, Olivia attended the University of Chicago’s Committee on International Relations master’s program (MA ‘23) and completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Rochester (BA ‘22). Outside of supporting SISRM, Olivia loves swimming at Promontory Point, getting coffee with friends, and exploring Chicago.

Communications and Programming Assistant

As a Communications and Programming Assistant, Dani supports the development and execution of the programming for students in the Summer Institute in Social Research Methods, creates original content for the SISRM newsletter and the SISRM annual report, and supports the development of ongoing relationships between SISRM and units across campus.

Dani is a fourth-year Anthropology and Linguistics major, currently pursuing the BA/MA program with the Committee International Relations. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, exploring new music, and visiting museums.
