From: Irene Reed, Director of Enrollment Management, University of Chicago Laboratory Schools Subject: Laboratory Schools Admissions for the 2025–2026 Academic Year
As we begin another year at the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools, we are already looking ahead and are pleased to let you know that we are now accepting student applications for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The Laboratory Schools proudly serve a highly diverse group of approximately 2,200 students from Nursery 3 through grade 12, all of whom are actively engaged in a supportive and experiential learning environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, kindness, and confidence. To learn more about the Lab experience or to begin an application, please visit Lab’s Admissions website. Lab encourages families to begin the application process as soon as possible. The deadline to submit initial application materials is November 8, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., Central Standard Time.
Affording Lab
As a benefit of employment, the University offers tuition remission to eligible employees whose children are accepted and enroll at Lab. Faculty, other academic appointees, and staff can learn more about this benefit by visiting the tuition benefits and billing page on Lab’s website.
Lab also has a separate, need-based financial aid program. Financial aid applications are currently available. Initial financial aid application materials are due Monday, December 2, 2024, at 11:59 p.m., Central Standard Time, for both new and returning families. To learn more, please visit Lab’s tuition and financial aid page or email financialaid@ucls.uchicago.edu.
Applying to Other Schools
Applying to Lab does not guarantee that your child will be admitted. Every child is assessed individually through a holistic process. Lab strongly encourages all families to pursue multiple educational options. To learn more about other independent schools in the greater Chicagoland area, please visit lmais.org. Information about Catholic schools may be found at schools.archchicago.org. Information regarding Chicago Public Schools can be found at www.cps.edu.
