Our Luminex and MSD QuickPlex platforms are pretty neat. They allow users to look at several analytes of different kind using the smallest amount of bio fluid. If you run a lot of ELISAS or Westerns on different targets, you should definitely look into these platforms.

The CAT staff will also help you run these kits. You can bring your samples in along with your kit and we’ll prepare the plate for the run on the instrument. We’ve offered this service for many years and get fairly good results.

But mistakes can happen. If you sneeze at the wrong time, you may pipet the wrong thing in the wrong place and mess up the experiment completely. In the past, we have replaced kits when a mistake had been done on our end that made the data unusable.

I’m sorry to say that we won’t be doing this anymore. There are many reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the cost of the kits. Each of them can be several thousands of dollars and for the price of our technical assistance and instrument time, we just cannot provide an error-free warranty.
